Green Valley
Well it was same same in the golfer of the month competition as none of the leaders made any headway today, therefore, the current leader Peter Habgood, who has been leading for the whole month, clinched the title without even playing. It’s the first time Peter has won the trophy so congratulations go to him! Roger Privett had the outstanding round of the day beating Mashi by six Stableford points and Bruce Gladden took third place edging out Geoff Cox and JJ Harney on a count back.
Results:
1st Roger Privett (hcp 18) 39 points
2nd Mashi Kaneta (hcp 10) 33 points
3rd Bruce Gladden (hcp 17) 32 points
Near Pin Winners – Roger, Mashi, Geoff Cox and Reg Smart.

Phoenix
Neither Reg Smart nor Peter Habgood could play today so this was Gerry Cooney’s chance to close the gap on the leaders in the golfer of the month competition! Unfortunately Gerry didn’t have a good day and failed to get near them so it goes down to the last game of the month on Wednesday at Green Valley. Tony Robbins however, had a marvellous day shooting a fine four under par round to take the spoils, Eddie Martin and Bill Lutton both shot a three under round, Eddie winning on a count back.
Results:
1st Tony Robbins (hcp 15) nett 68
2nd Eddie Martin (hcp 17) nett 69
3rd Bill Lutton (hcp 12) nett 69
Near Pin Winners – JJ Harney, Bill Lutton, Mashi and Roger Privett.

Congratulations to Peter Habgood for winning golfer of the month. It is good to see a new name on golfer of the month trophy. Peter is a loyal Bunkerboy, well done.
I look foreward to playing in the Bunker on my return to Pattaya in August.
Cheers
John
