Crystal Bay 

Although the clubhouse and facilities at Crystal Bay are going downhill, the course is still in good condition and we couldn’t have had a closer finish in the A Flight. Three golfer’s finished level par, and a count back was needed to determine the winner. Keith Smithson came out victorious ahead of Colin Greig and Tony Berry. It was much more clear cut in the B Flight, Gordon Melia winning by four shots with a four under par nett 68. Geoff Parker came runner up with a level par round and Peter Habgood claimed third place finishing two over.

Treasure Hill 

Playing Stableford again, the course was in great condition and we had a perfect field of 24 golfers. The greens were much faster than in recent months, which left most golfers bemoaning the number of 3 (and more) putts. Always a difficult course, and, even with the conditions perfect today, the course came out on top with no player beating their handicap. The cut was set at handicap 15 and Gerry Cooney had the best round of the day to win the A Flight ahead of Mashi in second place and Keith Smithson who took the third spot. Mike Corner won the B Flight ahead of Dave Day and Reg Smart came out the winner of a count back involving three players to take third place.
