Khaow Kheow G.C. Stableford

Gerry Cooney - John Preddy Winner
A field of 68 golfers set out to contest the 5th annual John Preddy charity tournament over the A and B nines at Khaow Kheow. Always regarded as a tough course, today it was playing somewhat easier, with several tees in forward positions, and some excellent scores were recorded.
Driving around the course in a very full golf cart keeping an eye on proceedings were Thai girls Tuk and Yo with Mick at the wheel. Donald Preddy and Dave Keats were also hanging on the back for dear life, Donald unceremoniously sent flying off the cart more than once!!!
Leading the way in the golf and taking the John Preddy cup in the process was Gerry Cooney on 44 points. Laurence Harding took the runner up trophy, and Reg Smart produced his best round for quite some time to take 3rd place. The presentation was held at the U-Too bar, and what an excellent buffet they provided for the hungry competitors.

Runner Up Laurence Harding
The celebrations carried on until late in the evening and a great day was had by all. Many thanks to the management and staff of the U-Too bar and all proceeds from the event will be donated to Pattaya children’s charities.
